We tried to incorporate opportunities for students to have inquiry around the topic, work cooperatively to learn from others, use models to develop an understanding of phenomena, look at patterns in data, and then use what they learned to write a claim, supported by evidence and reasoning to show their understanding of concepts. |

Three-Dimensional Science Performance Assessments is a project developed and conducted by the Central Michigan Science Mathematics Technology Center. The mission of 3DSPA is to develop assessment tasks that align with the new Michigan Science Standards and Next Generation Science Standards which are freely accessible by teachers an available for implementation in grades 3-12 classrooms. This project is supported by a Technology Readiness Infrastructure Grant.
